Andrea Colby: Alberta, Canada; Artistically, I am most influenced by the art of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, including the impressionist, post-impressionist, symbolist and expressionist painting movements. My painting style lies somewhere between impressionism and expressionism, which gives me a range of ideas to work with when searching for a mode of expression. I graduated several years ago from the U of A with a B.F.A. degree. After some years of pursuing other career paths, I have recently become determined to work more diligently at my art. My goals are to work on my art career, acquire some experience in exhibiting, and to actively further my development as an artist.
